Chateau Rhianfa Wales

Chateau Rhianfa
Menai Bridge, Wales, United Kingdom

We had always admired Welsh castles, so when the opportunity to stay in one came up, we couldn’t resist. Except, we were told on arriving, whilst this ‘castle’ is 165 years old, it is actually a folly, as an eccentric Baron fancied a Loire Valley Chateau on his Celtic land. The hotel is run as if a titled family still lives there, and the experience made us laugh out loud occasionally, but we couldn’t deny just how fabulous our stay was.
