The Four Seasons Buenos Aires is absolutely faultless. From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left. Even when we returned a few days later (the staff still remembered us by name) to dine at the splendid, award-winning Elena restaurant, we were afforded an exemplary, personalised level of world-class service that was, by far, the best we experienced in Buenos Aires (and that is saying something). The property symbolises the future of luxury hospitality in the country, doing away with the stereotypical, time-warped, old-world approach – but without losing touch with the city’s heritage. The horse-bit embellishments throughout the hotel and in our suite are good examples, as well the gorgeously romantic La Mansion building at the property’s heart. Other little Argentine touches include a secret asado restaurant hidden away behind the pool deck, the super-hip Pony Line bar and acclaimed spa, offering signature treatments like the Porteño Tango. Our room, on the refurbished club floor was magnificent and while even in a modern, purpose-built building, offered the charm of Buenos Aires of the past.
