In Potsdamer Platz, downtown Berlin, you’ll find the minimalist Mandala Hotel – a luxurious urban oasis in this exhilarating city. Hip and happening, this is where the city’s socialites hang out, in a buzzy, media industry style atmosphere.
The very top floor is home to the Ono spa. Occupying the entire floor, with stunning views over Berlin, it is high on features and design, but somewhat clinical in appearance. There were times where I felt that I was in a sci-fi movie. Try the spa’s signature Alpha Space Bed, which uses sound, vibration and visual technology to chill you out. A strange experience. I laughed my way through a 15- minute session that was akin to being abducted by an alien race of spa therapists.
