Part of a new breed of small, luxurious properties in Madrid, totem settles into a grand, 1920s building on the confluence of Salamanca’s most desirable streets. Minimalist luxury awaited us indoors, set to an eclectic palette of colours that shouldn’t work, but does – with a centrepiece, original wooden staircase that reminded us of the building and city’s illustrious past.
