“But… but… but,” we hear you cry. Surely afternoon tea is an English thing? Well perhaps, but the #Experientialist has supped and dined out on some stunning afternoon teas – oftentimes more creative, not to mention elaborate and celebratory – outside of the British Isles.
One such tea can be found in at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. And to #KeepYourMindTravelling, the kind folk at the city within a city’s tourism organisation Love Beverly Hills got us access to Executive Chef David Codney, who walks us through the essentials of recreating The Peninsula’s world-famous afternoon tea at home, focusing on scones, lemon curd and smoked salmon sandwiches.
It’s all part of the Beverly Hills Home Hotelier’s series, where the hospitality experts behind the city’s legendary hotels have come together to bring the experience of luxury living in the city to create a seven-part video seres covering culinary exploration, cocktail-making, interior design and wellness. Each edition takes a behind-the-scenes look at how the city’s most lauded places to stay create some of their most memorable touches.
