We’ve long been captivated by Ultima Collection – and having experienced it firsthand, it’s clear why their portfolio of private villas, chalets, and hotels in some of Europe’s most illustrious locations feels so effortlessly exceptional. From award-winning properties in Gstaad and Courchevel to a wider collection of ski chalets and Mediterranean waterfront retreats, Ultima Collection has an uncanny ability to make every stay feel completely private, thoughtfully personalised and design-forward, all underscored by a genuine focus on holistic wellbeing. This season brings even more excitement: the opening of Ultima Promenade Gstaad and the launch of a series of exclusive new partnerships across the portfolio, signalling not just growth but a bold, confident evolution of the brand.
This winter, we can’t wait to see Ultima Collection take alpine luxury to dazzling new peaks with the opening of Ultima Promenade Gstaad on Gstaad’s historic promenade. Set to become the most exclusive private chalet in town, it opens its doors on December 1, 2025, and will sleep up to 20 guests, offering a private sanctuary for those seeking the pinnacle of sophistication.
Spread across four floors, it will feature eight en-suite bedrooms with walk-in closets, while the entire fourth floor is dedicated to the very youngest OutThere travellers, complete with a four-bed dormitory. There’s a spa offering Seed to Skin Tuscany and Augustinus Bader treatments, and exceptional entertainment spaces including a private cinema, cigar lounge, games room and even a private disco. As with all Ultima Collection properties, Ultima Signature Services promises an effortless stay – a carefully orchestrated world of relaxation and revelry, completely tailored to you. A dedicated house manager, private chef, massage therapist, butlers and chauffeur will be on hand to ensure every moment runs seamlessly.
For the design-conscious and art-loving Experientialist, Ultima Promenade Gstaad takes personalisation even further through a collaboration with Geneva’s Artion Galleries. One of the first properties in the collection to debut this concept, it offers bespoke curations of contemporary artwork installed ahead of arrival and tailored to each guest’s tastes – a celebration of art truly ‘Shaped Around You’. It’s a bold new way to experience a luxury villa holiday – peak indulgence, we dare say!

Winter, elevated
Offering an extraordinary selection of alpine destinations, Ultima Collection continues to redefine the luxury winter experience across all its properties. From the refined glamour of its flagship Ultima Hotel Gstaad to the high-altitude elegance of Ultima Hotel Courchevel, the serene beauty of Ultima Crans-Montana, and the pristine slopes of Ultima Megève, each property is a masterclass in how to turn alpine living into theatre. Whether it’s ski-in, ski-out chalets and private hotel residences where you can glide straight from slope to sauna, dining rooms where floor-to-ceiling windows frame some of Europe’s most breathtaking panoramas, or gourmet private dining, every stay is elevated by a concierge team whose expertise seems as limitless as the vistas. Every detail feels tailored, and every visit unforgettable. Beyond the polished marble, crackling fireplaces and whisper-quiet wellness suites, Ultima Collection delivers moments of true seclusion. For those of us seeking more than a standard ski holiday, there’s après-ski by candlelight in a private cinema, sunrise yoga over untouched powder, or bespoke wellness programmes designed to melt away the stress of city life.
A new taste of the Alps
This winter also marked a particularly bold new chapter in alpine dining, as Ultima Collection unveils an exclusive Culinary Residency with the internationally acclaimed Japanese restaurant brand Zuma, part of the Azumi Group. Having experienced the meticulous attention to detail that defines every Ultima property, we are intrigued by the promise of a dining experience where refined living, exceptional flavours and immersive moments converge seamlessly. The residency spans a full restaurant takeover at Ultima Hotel Gstaad, private in-chalet dining at Ultima Hotel Courchevel, and curated gastronomic moments at the newly opened Ultima Promenade Gstaad.
We were struck by how Zuma, with its globally celebrated reputation, perfectly complements Ultima Collection’s ethos. Chef Rainer Becker, whose elegant yet contemporary approach to Izakaya first transformed London’s dining scene in 2002, brings the artistry of Japan to the Alps. Guests will be able to sample a fusion of Zuma’s three essential elements – the Main Kitchen, Sushi Bar and Robata Grill – alongside an après-ski inspired bar, each moment thoughtfully crafted to bring next-level flavour to alpine dining.
United by a shared commitment to refined living and personalised service, the partnership between Zuma and Ultima Collection is a meeting of two worlds: Zuma’s bold, contemporary flavours and Ultima Collections’s unparalleled and elegant hospitality. The result? A dining experience as rarefied, invigorating and unforgettable as the alpine landscapes in which it unfolds.
Why choose the Ultima Collection?
Our love affair with Ultima Collection began in 2016 with the opening of Ultima Hotel Gstaad, an award-winning 5-star hotel and spa in Switzerland. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear that this was no ordinary luxury property. Since then, the collection has quietly expanded across Europe, encompassing chalets, hotels and waterfront villas – from the soaring Alps to the sun-drenched Mediterranean – each echoing the same commitment to extraordinary locations and flawless, discreet service, especially for OutThere travellers in the know.
What sets Ultima Collection apart is its ethos of discrete luxury… where every detail is carefully curated and considered to exceed expectations, every gesture calibrated, and each guest is treated as a true individual. The brand champions a philosophy of slow living and immersive indulgence, ensuring that every stay is not just a getaway but a transformational experience. For the discerning traveller seeking meaningful escapism, design-led serenity and intuitive service in breathtaking destinations, Ultima Collection offers a rare blend of intimacy, innovation and indulgence.
