We travelled to gorgeous Galle at the end of last year, for OutThere’s Seductive Sri Lanka issue and met with Shanjei Malraj Perumal of Galle Fort Walks. We spent a day with him discovering the magical fort city. Sri Lanka is a country that has had a lion’s share of tragedies that has affected and affects its tourism. Yet its kind, friendly people remain resilient and optimistic of the days to come. We return (albeit remotely) to the country’s most revered tourist hotspot and catch up with Shanjei, who reflects on his beloved home in a COVID pandemic world.
