The Victoriana Hamper, available from the online shop of The Fife Arms, Braemar, Scotland

The Fife Arms, a Scottish highland hideaway on everyone’s lips (and Instagram feeds), has set up shop – and we mean that quite literally. Offering a curated selection of all things artisanal and Scottish, the hotel’s online store is our latest retail obsession.

If like us, you’ve decided not to let lockdowns put a stop to your Christmas shopping, we’ve got just the treat for you. News is, the quintessentially Scottish Fife Arms hotel up in Braemar has just opened the doors to its online shop, a perfect little treasure trove of luxurious goods to indulge your loved ones with; though that’s not to say we haven’t bagged an item or two for ourselves – after all, practice makes perfect.

It’s no secret we’re fans of all things British (in fact, we once devoted an entire issue to the islands we call our home), and the Fife Arms’ shop surely caters to our tastes: split into hampers, artisanal products and the hotel’s unique signature goods, it offers everything from the exclusive Alba by Fueguia 1883, a fragrant tribute to the landscapes surrounding the 19th-century hotel, to Scottish artist Alec Finlay’s Gathering, a poetic attempt at capturing the Highlands’ exceptional spirit in book-form.

Our personal favourite findings (for convenience, should you be planning a little gesture!) include the chemical-free and vegan-friendly Albamhor botanical body care range, developed by aromatherapists and made to include local herbs and plant extracts, as well as various products celebrating Scotland’s traditions and craftsmanship – think a bottle of Flying Stag gin or the exclusive Fife Arms umbrella, either of which would come in perfectly handy next time we venture out on a highlands hike.

If you’re looking to splurge, opt for the most elaborate hamper on offer, the Victoriana Hamper, which brims with all sorts of Scottish delights, both culinary and artisanal. After all, only because we can’t visit the Fife Arms at the moment, doesn’t mean the hotel can’t come to us, right?
