Pridelux Atelier at Shangri-La London:
Getting hitched in the sky

We promise we’re not biased when we say a trip to the British capital is always worth the journey. London’s ever-changing, cultural landscape lures travellers from all over with an astounding array of events, making it hard to get bored. A new occasion is set to cater to LGBT+ visitors and locals in particular. Staged at one of our favourite London hotels, we’d fly around the world for this one – though luckily, we’ll only need to hop on the tube.

Pridelux Atelier, a wedding show for same-sex couples, will be showcasing products and services specifically tailored to LGBT+ weddings, from 13 to 14 September. Participating exhibitors read like a directory of Mayfair’s finest; including Vivienne Westwood, legendary Savile Row tailors Gieves & Hawkes and sweet treat emporium Ladurée (note to the recently #engayged: go slow on the latter if you want to wow in a bespoke suit at your nuptials).

We’re especially excited to see the event take place at London’s ultra-chic Shangri-La, the city’s highest hotel in one of Europe’s tallest (and most controversial, as any local would add) buildings, The Shard. If the idea of taking in sweeping views of the capital while browsing flowers and cake designs 125 metres above ground level appeals to you and your other half, meet us by the champagne bar, where we’ll be putting a ring on it – metaphorically speaking.
