ME Ibiza offers the best of the island’s two worlds: conveniently situated just a short taxi ride from Ibiza Town for nights of revelry and partying, yet with a peaceful seaside setting offering serenity, spirituality and relaxation. The ME Ibiza is near Santa Eulalia town on Ibiza’s serene east coast, on a picturesque spot directly on the beach. A scenic coastal path leads to a neighbouring bay adorned with high-end restaurants.
Everything about the hotel reflects this duality of hedonism and escapism. The design reflects the boho, beach-chic vibe that travellers expect from Ibiza: rattan and distressed white wood furnishings, and landscaping brimming with plants and succulents. We experienced a curated wellness programme, including breathwork and mindfulness sessions set to views of the Mediterranean designed to calm our souls and connect us to the island’s magic. There were also far more demanding activities on offer… like aerial yoga and fitness classes that challenged our physical and mental limits, while still being fun and liberating. A Thai Room spa offers massages, therapies, sauna, and steam therapies (we found ourselves there quite a lot during our stay).

| We found it quite hard to leave the embrace of the ME Ibiza, as it captures the very best of the ‘White Isle’ and the variety of lifestyles it inspires. The hotel’s Aura Team can help guests discover how indigenous art, architecture, design, fashion, crafts, culture and local cuisine combine with the fabric and spirit of the hotel. But there are fantasticexternal activities beyond the hotel’s compound, specifically designed to immerse travellers into discovering the island in depth, with gastronomic trips and magical spots at sunset with music. So while you’re tempted to stay in, ensure you take the team up on their offer to show you their island home and playground. |
In contrast, the social programming brought in the island’s fun vibes. At the lively main pool (the heart of the hotel), drinking and dining spaces look into the pool and the beach beyond, with stylish and international DJs played upbeat tunes throughout the day.
Radio Rooftop offered an elegant bar area, pool and series of plunge pools, inspired by the top floor terraces of ME by Meliá properties in cosmopolitan cities, but this time with striking views across the Santa Eulalia bay. We loved Radio ME Ibiza’s relaxed yet vibrant and exclusive atmosphere. More than a bar and restaurant, its delectable dishes – enhanced by the restaurant’s charcoal ovens – and handcrafted cocktails were perfectly complemented by the lively sounds of the hotel’s resident DJs and the sound of crashing waves and made for an utterly sensorial experience. Similarly, Origens Local Food, itself with stunning panoramic sea views, provides a delicious local menu of traditional Mediterranean dishes with fresh, seasonal ingredients, as well as delicious Japanese sushi specialities.
And like its other ME by Meliá family members, ME Ibiza also seeks to bring guests a fascinating cultural programme alongside eye-pleasing and cerebral choices of works by its guest contemporary artists. Painters, photographers, artisans and other creators who exhibit their work here, offering a constant flow of thought-provoking events and creativity.
The ME Ibiza’s 200 guest rooms and suites with private pools match the serene blend of the bohemian chic and modern elegance we found in the rest of the hotel. Ours was bathed in natural light, featuring a harmonious palette of soft whites and earthy tones, punctuated by artisanal touches and contemporary decor. The design seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor living, with an expansive terrace with panoramic ocean views. Sleek furnishings, luxurious linens, and high-tech amenities ensured ultimate comfort, while the minimalist aesthetic and thoughtful details created a sense of effortless sophistication and calm, which gave us the license to unwind and embrace the property’s laid-back luxury.
