This huge hotel is part of the sprawling Shangri-la complex of multiple hotels, much to the confusion our taxi-drivers. It’s styled like a beach-resort – a little odd for a city hotel – but it was originally designed to give Metro-Manileños some staycation chic. Our Tower Wing Edsa Suite on the top floor showcased views back into the CBD. It was a little over the top in size and appointment, but what a first world problem to contend with!
