We’re not great at celebrity spotting, but at the iconic la-la-land property that is the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, we couldn’t help but see them. We quickly learned that this in fact is a hotspot for it. And if you aren’t a celebrity yourself… then this place will certainly make you feel like one.
The Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is all about privacy and discretion. Its secluded, hedged-off location, marbled lobby, fabulous garden and overindulgent flower arrangements are all perfectly poised for a chic, international it-crowd. Its staff are ready and trained to cater to the whims of a high-maintenance clientele, with military precision and execution.
Beyond the elevators, our suite looked a little tired – in our humble opinion, the property as a whole could do with a bit of an update (and putting a small TV by the sink in our suite doesn’t count) – but some tell us that its charm is in part due to the fact that it hasn’t changed much since the heyday of Hollywood.
What you’re buying by staying here is a slice of what it means to be a tinsel-town Angelino, summed up by spending some time poolside – the perfect place to top-up a much-needed L.A. credential – our tans; while listening in – eavesdropping, even – to a handsome young actor practising his lines, or a set of larger-than-life Hollywood producers at work.
