Scott Dunn x Tourism Authority of Thailand:
NYC Pride

There are few places in the world that speak to the soul of OutThere quite like New York City. It’s a magical place where boldness and diversity is welcomed and celebrated – where the streets hum with queer history, resilience and reinvention. So it felt only right that we returned to this iconic metropolis for NYC Pride 2025, to honour not just the vibrant LGBTQIA+ community that has always embraced us here, but also a decade of marriage equality in the United States – a momentous anniversary that coincided perfectly with our Scott Dunn x Tourism Authority of Thailand powered pre-Pride gathering on Thursday 26th June 2025.

In partnership with the ever-forward-thinking luxury tour operator and OutThere ally Scott Dunn and the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s dedicated LGBTQIA+-travel platform Go Thai Be Free – both dedicated advocates of inclusive, intentional travel for the LGBTQ+ community – we came together for an evening of reflection, revelry and renewed purpose to celebrate NYC Pride, wanderlust and partying in style.

Our venue for the night? DIMES, the dazzlingly decadent party palace hidden within Seven24 Collective, the Gansevoort Hotel NYC’s exclusive private members’ club. With its mirrored ceilings, bowling alley, karaoke room, kaleidoscopic lighting and nostalgic nods to NYC’s disco-fuelled heyday, DIMES set the perfect stage for celebration – and contemplation.

Thank you to all you fabulous OutThere travellers, readers, fans and friends who attended in force. We adore you and are grateful for your support of all we do. We hope you enjoyed the stunning performance by drag queen Pattaya Hart who, true to theme, brought a taste of Gloria Gaynor disco in spectacular Northeastern Thailand style.

At a time when global politics often threaten to dim the light of queer progress, events like this matter more than ever. Travel, for us, is a radical act – a reminder that LGBTQ+ people deserve to roam, to revel and to feel safe, seen, supported and celebrated wherever they go. It’s a vehicle for connection, for understanding and – most importantly – for hope.

We’re deeply grateful to the team at the Gansevoort Hotel, who continue to champion queer voices and open their doors to our chosen family. Thanks also to the EveryQueer team for their support. Together, we created a space where joy was defiantly centre stage, where wanderlust and wonder were stirred, and where love – for each other, for travel, for New York City – took flight once more.

NYC has always been good to us. And in return, we love it unapologetically – for its grit, its glamour and its unshakeable spirit. Pride was born here… more than just a parade or celebration, it’s a protest, a movement, a reminder of how far we’ve come and how much further we can go when we travel – in all senses of the word – together.
