The Herods is a large, sprawling, 223-room luxury resort property fronting a beautiful Dead Sea beach (private to the hotel) with views of the imposing Mount Sodom. It really is the view that’s the high point here, as most rooms come complete with balconies.
The five-star resort had everything we expected of a property of this kind and as we were there to relax, we couldn’t have chosen better. The hotel’s spa area, pampering rooms, Turkish bath and indoor and outdoor salt-water pools gave us the perfect excuse to down-pace and enjoy the healing waters that are famous to the area.
The hotel’s gastro offering is also wonderful, a lavish lunch buffet affair, the perfect treat after a morning of exploring nearby Masada.
